Job Description:

My client is an Ofcom registered expanding telecoms company, aiming to always be at the forefront of the industry. My client has trade agreements with all the major UK networks and carriers across a full range of products and services. They have worked hard to build their products and services portfolio to ensure they are able to cater to their clients' individual and business telecoms requirements. This role is primarily based in their Manchester Office and is a desk-based role.

As a member of their Telecoms Support team, you will be responsible for dealing with customer support for fault diagnosis and technical support for all products and services. You must also be able to provision a wide range of products and services including lines, connectivity, WLR, CPS and Hosted Telephony. The successful candidate will be able to elevate company standards and provide excellent customer service and support.

Overview of Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities:

  1. Fault diagnosis

  1. Establish customer requirements and assess their needs

  1. Upselling various packages

  1. Analysis of data and translation into a fixed services proposition

  1. Responsible for communications via phone calls and email

  1. Escalating queries and concerns when necessary

  1. Liaising with suppliers

  1. Completing various ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven working experience within the telecommunications industry in a support role

  • Technical

  • Customer focused

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

  • A desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas

  • High attention to detail

  • Effective organisational and communication skills

  • Strong telephone manner

  • Hold all work-related information and materials confidential

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent IT Skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Other languages will be of benefit to this role
