Job Description

Our client based in Wotton near Dorking urgently requires Assistant conference and Banqueting Manager .

Due to amazing location, this venue hosts many events throughout the year from business events, award ceremonies, weddings and charity events.

The venue offers and inspirational setting and can cater for up to 200 covers.

As the Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all conferences, events and banquets run smoothly and that a 5 star service is offered to all its guests.

Assisting the Conference & Banqueting Operations Manager you will oversee and supervise the operation of all conferences within the hotel. The role will include supervising and completing room set up, meeting and greeting clients, as well as building excellent relationships with our guests and responding to requests and specific requirements.

You and your team therefore need to be fully aware of all facilities, tariffs and current activities as well as an in-depth knowledge of all bedroom and meeting rooms available. You will also oversee banqueting and private dinners held here at the Hotel.

Prior to each event, all meeting rooms need to be set out as per instructions received from the Head of Department and/or the Conference Office and then serviced throughout that event.
