Conference Director
Due to expansion, my highly successful, well established client is expanding and looking to recruit an experienced Conference Director.
Primary functions
Researching and sourcing highly qualified speakers for global conference events
Become an expert industry commentator
Managing speaker content and conference scheduling
On-site management of the conference. Involves meet and greet of speakers & moderators, liaising with onsite contractors (requires willingness and ability to travel globally)
Liaising with various internal teams to produce marketing material, onsite operation of the conference & website content management
Candidate
2+ Years' experience building high-end content driven conferences (3+ years preferred)
Excellent communicator
Confident making phone calls and meeting people face to face (up to C-level) is necessary
An interest and aptitude to learn about new technology or industries (role requires a lot of subject research)
Understand the importance of networking to become an influential industry spokesperson for UKi Media & Events
Self-motivated to meet strict deadlines and deliver best possible content programme
Ability to remain calm under pressure and think logically (onsite management of 120+ speakers while handling challenges from delegates and speakers calmly is a must)
Strong organisational skills
Basic computer skills, MS Office primarily, plus internal software systems
