Job Description

Corporate Fundraising Officer
OVERALL PURPOSE

We are seeking a sales orientated, proactive and driven individual to join our fundraising team in the role of Corporate Partnerships Development Manager. You will work with our Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager, researching, identifying and securing new business partnerships which will secure income and sustainable and lasting relationships with the charity.
The role requires an individual with strong business development and relationship management skills along with strong sales skills to build partnerships from scratch. You will have a clear ability to identify opportunities before converting them into high value
partners hips. You will be motivated, enthusiastic and tenacious with excellent attention to detail and experience of dealing with senior leadership and external clients.

Part time hours (4 days) and flexible working would be considered for the right candidate.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY TASKS

1. Lead on the development and implementation of a new business partnerships strategy which will secure new income and sustainable and lasting relationships with the Charity.

2 To research, identify and market to identified business prospects, developing a portfolio of funding products tailored to companies and employees that align with the corporate partner and Charity's values and objectives.

3 Work closely with the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager on all aspects of the corporate fundraising strategy and in improving long-term commitment from corporate supporters.

4 To develop partnership proposals and sponsorship offerings and lead on pitching to new potential corporate partners.

5 To utilise all appropriate marketing and sales channels including telephone, mail and digital to make contact with and develop potential leads. To attend various networking events to facilitate and develop these contacts.

6 Work with the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager on ways to engage targeted companies as well as negotiations with corporate partners.

7 Write high quality external communications documents, including emails to corporate partners, creative business pitches and other written materials as required.

8 Work collaboratively with colleagues across the team and wider charity to ensure excellent relationship building and stewardship.

9 Work with our Marketing team to ensure any use of the QEF brand including logo and copy is protected and valued by our partners.

10 Define and achieve financial targets with the Corporate Partnerships Manager ensuring income is received in accordance with the Fundraising Business Plan.

11 Maintain accurate records on the database in accordance with the Data Protection Act and ICO.

12 Adhere to all relevant policies, e.g. Fundraising Policy, etc. Keep fully abreast and up to date with legislative and/or regulatory changes within the fundraising environment and ensure any necessary changes are acted on appropriately. Maintain own knowledge of the sector and key developments, and ensure new ideas and opportunities for are acted upon quickly and in the most appropriate way.

13 Play an active role in the overall development of the Fundraising and Marketing Department.

14 Undertake other tasks and duties as may be reasonable which will contribute to the overall success of the Fundraising and Marketing team.
