E-Commerce Team Leader - German Market
My Horsham based client is looking for a native German speaker, to head the German E-Commerce Team.
Your role will be to lead and support the German team in growing sales through advertising, market research and marketing strategies; and by offering outstanding Customer Care.
Duties will include:
Team management:
* Managing and supporting the German team to increase online sales
* Helping to coordinate and prioritise the team's workload
* Motivating and encouraging team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
* Answering team member questions and helping with any problems
* Conducting meetings and individual chats to update the team and listen to their feedback
* Providing any training that team members need
* Managing the flow of day-to-day operations
* Liaising closely with Senior Management regarding team expectations, development and overall sales growth
Customer Care and Administration:
* Working with the team to respond to customer e-mails across all German accounts within 24 hours
* Dealing with negative feedback left by customers on the accounts (this may include contacting customers by phone)
* Providing telephone support to customers regarding delivery or product queries
* Using order fulfilment software to ensure smooth processing of orders to the warehouse
* Liaising with the warehouses regarding any stock concerns, delays etc.
* Ensuring that all sales accounts are kept in excellent standing with exceptional feedback and a high level of customer satisfaction
Advertising and Marketing:
* Driving sales on Amazon and eBay Germany through the creation of engaging product ad content
* Deploying marketing strategies e.g. keyword optimisation and using promotional tools such as sponsored product ads to encourage sales growth
* Conducting regular market research to keep up-to-date with new releases in the consumer electronics sector (e.g. following major brand events/keynotes such as Apple and Samsung, subscribing to tech newsletters etc.)
* Attending and contributing towards team meetings to discuss the feasibility of new product suggestions
* SWOT analysis, including identifying new product opportunities based on competitor analysis, market research and personal knowledge of German market and/or current trends
Essential skills:
* Native German speaker (mother tongue)
* Managerial and marketing experience
* Third party ecommerce platform (Amazon, eBay etc.) sales experience
* Strong time management skills and effective prioritisation
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Good overall PC competency (Excel in particular)
* Minimum of 40 words per minute typing speed
* Business acumen and strong problem-solving skills
* A positive attitude and approach to all tasks
Desirable skills:
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related discipline (marketing, business etc.)
