HR Business Partner - 6-12 month Contract
My client is seeking an HR Business Partner on a FTC basis to join its successful and vibrant organisation operating in a niche industry. We are looking for a pro-active individual to support the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources department; this will include but not be limited to leading the company's People Strategy, implementing the learning and development programme and developing and running the HR department. My client has just launched a new People strategy and this role will be instrumental in providing leadership and support throughout this process. You will ensure HR operations are met with the compliance and professionalism that are appropriate to my client.
Deliver the strategic direction and business requirements of the People Strategy, ensuring it is aligned across the business areas.
Manage and deliver an effective, efficient and legally compliant human resource service
Develop and lead annual HR processes including performance reviews and talent and succession planning
Ensure managers are upskilled to manage their own grievance/disciplinary/sickness/recruitment/performance and management processes prior to any required escalation
Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations, such as grievances and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism.
Champion a performance culture and continuously review employee development and productivity, making
recommendations for improvements
Advise and assist on developing a reward and recognition strategy
Work closely with departments and be seen as a pro-active and visible resource able to engage and respond with ease and at a pace
Carry out day to day HR process and functions
Skills and Experience:
Commercially focused, hands-on and used to working in a fastpaced and changing environment
Flexible approach and ability to work under own initiative
Keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Bachelor's degree; masters in human resources or business administration desirable
CIPD qualified with evidence of continuous professional development
Has held previous position of seniority, able to establish credibility and build department accountability
Able to problem solve and demonstrate operational and strategic skills
Comfortable in developing team members and empowering staff
Proactive attitude and confident manner
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
